At the beginning of the month, we visited Harper Adams University, hosted by the UK Agri-Tech Centre, which ORC has recently joined, for our team away day. We deepened our understanding of agricultural research across various sectors and toured some of their impressive facilities.
ORC team
Ed Dickin discussing controlled traffic farming, oak farm population wheat and intercropping
James McCaughern describing their intensive beef production and difference in carbon footprints for intensive and extensive systems.
Nicky Naylor, providing an overview of the sheep system and an update on their involvement in the breed for CH4nge project.
Thank you to Harper Adams and UK Agri-Tech Centre. There are lots of areas of research and opportunities for us to collaborate on in the future.
