The OK-Net Arable project aims to increase the productivity and quality of organic arable farming in Europe by improving knowledge exchange between farmers, advisers and researchers. To this end, an online course including material collected and produced by the project will be delivered. The objective of this course, is to enable students and professionals to familiarise themselves with the latest insights, context and concepts of organic arable farming and to provide them with new tools and practices to tackle current challenges related to production and crop protection.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to develop their own critical thinking, will become familiar with the emerging threats to organic arable farming and the main issues of debate including: soil fertility, nutrient management, pest and disease control, weed management and crop specific issues. Furthermore, trainees will share questions and information about new trends in organic arable farming at the European level.
