Biodiversity studies confirm organic benefits

OCW has published a review, written by ORC staff, of the scientific literature on the biodiversity impacts of organic farming. The published studies confirm a wide range and number of positive effects (62 out of 82 studies) with very few negative effects (6 out of 82 studies). The report outlines some generally accepted reasons for the impacts of organic farming and discusses some methodological issues associated with the research. The report also provides summaries of the research papers.
