The Organic Research Centre is delighted to be joining forces again with The Woodland Trust and the Soil Association, along with Alba Trees, to offer support in The Agroforestry Tent at Groundswell in Herefordshire, July 2nd to 3rd 2025.
The first Agroforestry Tent at Groundswell 2024 was a big success, giving extensive support and resource links to landowners, farmers, and foresters starting or expanding their agroforestry venture, helping people to realise the full potential of trees for their land, crops, animals, soil and business.
The Agroforestry Tent offers individual guidance clinics with professional advisors from ORC, Soil Association and the Woodland Trust on hand to offer tailored advice on a range of agroforestry topics, from basic planning to sophisticated management strategies.
These clinics also give access to obtaining new research and resources available. Keep up to date with the most recent scientific developments in agroforestry through our focused programme of presentations on research findings.
You will also be able to engage in workshops, farm walk ‘safaris’ and guided tours of well-established systems to gain first-hand knowledge of agroforestry techniques from seasoned professionals.
The space also provides a platform to showcase agroforestry research and posters will be on display allowing researchers to present their findings on diverse agroforestry practices. There will be opportunities to ask the team questions.
We currently have a call to submit posters for this space and we encourage researchers, practitioners, and students to share their work, potentially leading to new partnerships, innovative solutions, and wider adoption of effective agroforestry systems.
The Agroforestry Tent is especially committed to helping people who are unfamiliar with agroforestry or are investigating its possibilities. This space will offer crucial knowledge, useful guidance, and chances to interact with a community of like-minded people.
If you are interested in booking a clinic to get free bespoke advice, stay in touch through our e-bulletin or social media and we will let you know when booking becomes available and what to bring.
