Potential Role of Trees on a Dartmoor Farm

The Woodland Trust are hosting an event for farmers at Hall Farm, Dartmoor on the 29th May to hear about the Role of Trees on Farms in Dartmoor. The day will include a mix of indoor and outdoor talks and discussion from 10am – 3pm. You will hear from Harriet Bell, Regenerative Farming Lead for Riverford Organics, Lindsay Whistance ORC’s Senior Livestock Researcher, and Louise Davis, farm business adviser. 

They will be covering the following topics:

  • experience of using agroforestry as a tool for climate change mitigation.
  • how shade, shelter and browse from trees and hedges can improve the performance, health and welfare of your livestock 
  • opportunities for agroforestry grant and income streams.
