The one day course will cover

Introduction to the Soil Food Web and microbiological management principles
- Anatomy of a microscope and how to select a suitable model
- Using and maintaining the microscope
- How to collect soil, compost and compost tea samples and prepare these for analysis
- Undertaking qualitative analysis of soil, compost and compost tea
- A look and discussion around the effects of human intervention on soil life and ways to minimise negative effects of our actions on soil microbes
