Demonstrating Agroecology at Scale: Godminster Farm Event

Join the Soil Association for a tour of Godminster organic dairy farm to hear about the many nature and climate friendly practices that they have adopted.

The event, hosted by Richard Hollingbery and Peter Cheek is free to attend, a light lunch and refreshments will also be included.

About the event:

As well as an introduction to Godminster Farm and the organic dairy – you’ll hear more about:

  • Different practices and crops that work within a productive whole farm system; including herbals leys, organic oats, whole crop silage mixes and composting manure.
  • How they’re making the most of innovation and technology to help monitor and improve the way they farm.
  • Discuss and demonstrate soil health and biodiversity monitoring, exploring how monitoring these outcomes informs and validates change in farming practice.
  • The Soil Association will introduce and invite farmers to join a ‘Dairy farming focused learning network’ to share learning and provide training opportunities in embracing agroecology at scale.
