Join us for AGROMIX workshop on land use policies in England!
Agroforestry in England needs to be scaled up, fast. But the right tree in the right place, adequate training, financing and policies all need to be in place.
Currently, agroforestry makes up only 3.3% of the UK’s land-use. In England, this is only 1.61%. We can and should do better!
To make any significant changes in land use, we need to engage with the people who own England.
Join farmers, policy makers, civil society and major landowners for a series of two co-design policy workshops. We will discuss various policy options and scenarios for transition, based on results from a novel Agent Based computer model.
There will be opportunities to provide feedback on the model, network, look at agroforestry in action and co-create policies that work for all. With presentations from the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience, Organic Research Centre and others.
Free parking on site, lunch provided. Reasonable travel requests will be re-imbursed.
Detailed agenda and speakers to follow with registration.
