Wild birds have been getting a bad press in the media frenzy on avian flu, says the RSPB.
Many recent outbreaks are not consistent with wild bird movements. In the UK, after a survey of over 1300 samples, only one mallard in Scotland has been found to have a low pathogenicity strain of avian flu.
