We are looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to help us carry out biodiversity surveys of the hedgerows on Elm Farm.
These surveys are part of a project looking at the feasibility of using managing hedges for wood fuel. The survey will help to identify important habitats for biodiversity and inform a hedgerow management plan for the farm.
Surveyors will require a good grounding in natural history and should at least be able to identify common native trees and shrubs. Skills in surveying and map reading are useful.
The survey will be taking place the week beginning Monday 24th June 2013, with a training session on Monday afternoon.
