A new project led by the Natural Resources Institute at the University of Greenwich is piloting a new technique which aims to enable farmers to assess their own soil carbon in the field using a colourmetric test. They hope this will enable farmers to keep track of their carbon without the need for time -consuming and costly sampling and lab analysis.
The project is looking to test what farmers record in the field and compare the same sample with lab analysis.
