GREATsoils field day – Lincs

Event Date : July 17, 2017

Rotation strategies across farms for soil health and fertility

How can businesses working in a shared rotation collaborate to assess and manage the health of their soils? Come along to hear about this GREATsoils field lab where three businesses, Jepco, Worth Farms, and Loveden Estates, are working on a joint strategy to improve soil health in the long term. The field lab aims to increase soil fertility and organic matter through collaborative rotation planning involving all parties who are using the land at some stage in their rotation (horticulture and arable systems), by assessing effects of cover crops on cash crop yield and quality.
