Fertility-building leys and green manures

Event Date : November 19, 2015

The final Duchy Future Farming Field Lab for farmers and growers on Fertility Building Leys and Green Manures will be held at Grange Farm near Loughborough, Leicestershire on 19th November 2015

This is the third Fertility Building Leys and Green Manures field lab as part of the Duchy Future Farming Programme (DFF)

The potential for multi-species fertility building leys and green manures has recently been demonstrated by the Leg Link research project, and producers have built up considerable experience with managing and achieving excellent forage yields and good following crops. This event will report on producer experience in 2015 in growing and utilising multi-species leys and green manures. It will include initial results from subsequent cropping trials and use of the Countryside Stewardship Multi-species ley option.

Booking will be through the Duchy Future Farming website: www.soilassociation.org/innovativefarming/duchyfuturefarmingprogramme/fieldlabs/fertilitybuildingleys
