OF&G National Organic Cereals 2012

Organic Farmers and Growers’ annual National Organic Cereals event, organised in partnership with Abacus Organic Associates, has established itself as one of the highlights of the organic calendar, bringing together producers, millers, buyers, seed companies, researchers and more from across the sector to share expertise, experience and market data. This year the event will focus on fertility in the organic system with talks and demonstrations as well as the usual question and answer sessions, including:

  • Varieties yield trial courtesy of Pearce Seeds
  • Spring barley trial courtesy of Robin Appel Ltd
  • Nitrogen stabilising treatments with The Farm Consultancy Group
  • Presentations from experienced specialists including organic agronomy, profit margins, CAP reform and more
  • A wide variety of trade stands and machinery on display
  • A guided farm walk, with particular attention to the trial crops
  • Refreshments throughout the day and an organic breakfast and lunch for all
  • Moisture meter clinic – in association with Organic Arable
  • Organic crop margins with ORC’s Nic Lampkin
